Default SSL Mode

Could anybody tell me if the odbc password is secure (cannot be get
easily for a hacker) and what SSL mode (and their options) means ?

I am planning to put my username and password on my ".exe" instead of
the odbc. What do you think about it.

Regards
Ezequias
