But if your users are all using Solaris, there's no need for AV software. -- Rich Teer, SCNA, SCSA President, Rite Online Inc. Voice: +1 (250) 979-1638 URL: http://www.rite-online.net |

I'd recommend ClamAV, but that's just personal choice. The OP should go to freshmeat.net and search for "anti-virus", as there are several choices in several price ranges. +> But if your users are all using Solaris, there's no need for AV +> software. He's probably handling incoming mail heading for Winboxen. In any case, the OP should look into mailscanner and spamassassin, if he hasn't already done so. No, the wrapper programs like AMaViS and MailScanner do, but not the virus scanners. Most are for Linux only. But some of them will work on Solaris, you can find a list here http://www.openantivirus.org/av-unix_e.txt http://www.amavis.org/amavis.html#scanners The downside is that most of them charge per seat, but you could also use the server version of their product and pay only for one (server) seat. As has been said, clam-av works nice on solaris, but its not really suited for production use, as its virus db is not as complete or updated as fast as those of commercial vendors.
