We are nearly about to wash our hands of NetBackup Data Center. Tired of
paying a boatload of cash for Veritas to get their own bug-ridden
software to work (this is working from 3 different companies worth of
problems, 3 distinct separate installations, 2 of which were done by
Veritas engineers themselves (at a hefty price I might add)).

Just wondering what other options there are out there that support Sun
as a master & media server? (with the exception of Backbone, Legato, and
Arkeia)

It has almost gotten to the point where money is no object, we just want
the software to word and perform "as advertised".

It all depends upon the features you need I suppose... Did you look at
Bacula? (no kidding...)
