Default Attempts to setup sun java commsuite 5 (dsee & calendar)

I previously made several attempts on a CentOS4.0 machine to install
Directory Server Enterprise Edition and the Calendar server packages
from Commsuite5. I'm pretty sure that I've now got the installation
process down without any issues; however, it appears that I can't
install it on the original CentOS4.0 machine due to lingering
configuration materials from previous attempts. Does anybody know of
any ways to use the configurator.sh, comm_dssetup.pl, or other
installation and configuration scripts that come with these suites to
remove previous configuration attempts?

I haven't even made an attempt to do it manually because of how Sun's
filesystem utilization heirarchy is a labrynth to me. Pretty much the
only other thing that I thought of doing was to write a script to take
the file listing from the original .zip archives and iterate through
it to remove each file. Of course I realized a few moments later that
this simply wouldn't work because the scripts shuffled things to
permanent locations and probably modified some system-wide
configurations knowing my luck.

At this point wiping and reinstalling the OS is not a possibility,
either. Unfortunately others want the machine kept alive at this
point (unless I sneak in an identical machine when they aren't
looking).

Ah, also my attempts to look through the existing scripts didn't seem
to turn up much.

Information on the process that I followed to attempt to install these
services can be found by hitting the link at the bottom of this post
(link to specific google newsgroup posting). If more information
would be helpful I can turn up more threads with a little more time
digging.

Thanks in advance.

Why are you asking about a "CentOS4.0 machine" on a Solaris newsgroup?
