Default automount problem

I have a sun workstation 5.7 that logs into a NIS domain, which is fine. The
user has no problems logging.

The problem is that I can not get the automount automount work! But, here is
the catch... for that one user!

If I log in as another user, the automount works automount he gets the
Workspace menus on his desktop. But, if I log in as the other user, he gets
nothing. I am at a loss!

They both have the same .cshrc file in cshrc file.
As well, they both have ...
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root other 26 Jan 14 2003 dtwmrc ->
/menus/dtwmrc/pulldown/dtwmrc
in the $HOME/.dt directories

The machine has
-rw-r--r-- 1 root other 181 Sep 19 2000 auto_direct
-rw-r--r-- 1 root bin 50 Sep 19 2000 auto_home
-rw-r--r-- 1 root bin 127 Sep 19 2000 auto_master

When I log in with the working id and check the mnttab...
wnoc6% cat /etc/mnttab
/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s0 / ufs rw,suid,dev=800018,largefiles 1074700204
/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s6 /usr ufs rw,suid,dev=80001e,largefiles 1074700204
/proc /proc proc rw,suid,dev=2740000 1074700204
fd /dev/fd fd rw,suid,dev=2800000 1074700204

/dev/dsk/c0t3d0s5 /opt ufs suid,rw,largefiles,dev=80001d 1074700206
swap /tmp tmpfs dev=1 1074700206
-hosts /net autofs ignore,indirect,nosuid,nobrowse,dev=2980001 1074700232
auto_home /home autofs ignore,indirect,nobrowse,dev=2980002 1074700232

auto_direct /document autofs ignore,direct,nobrowse,dev=2980005 1074700233
auto_direct /office autofs ignore,direct,nobrowse,dev=2980006 1074700233
len:/helms/home/correct_user /home/correct_user nfs dev=2940061 1077025556
aug:/export/dist /dist nfs rw,soft,dev=2940069 1077051127

I do not get any auto_direct for the other user when I log in and do a
mnttab.

I have troubleshot this for hours!!
Any help!
