| Hi, I"m having a hard time to bring up sol 10 x86 on my laptop Dell Latitude D820 to a multi user mode. The OS installation went well, but it rebooted, it never came up. So, I think the issue could be that I don't have a driver for Dell. So, does anyone know what driver do I need & where to get it? Any helps are appreciated. Thx, -Chris |

Standard "unix is booting" messages? Error messages? Or does it just sit there and do nothing? (in which case, is it plugged in and powered on? ;-) It could be that the X server is incorrectly set, and that the display is blanked to keep it from damage. [1] I've not installed x86 Solaris, so I have no idea if the boot process is kicked off like GRUB, LILO or even SPARC Solaris -- Consulting Minister for Consultants, DNRC I can please only one person per day.
