| Hi All, I am very new to Solaris admin ( I am an Oracle DBA by trade), so I wa wondering if some kind person could help me out please. This is th issue:- I am attempting to set shared memory, semaphore settings (prior t installing Oracle) on an Ultra 2 machine running 5.9 Solaris SPAC. have edited the /etc/system file but on a reboot (init 6) the setting aren't being reflected. I am checking with sysdef|grep -i SHM sysdef|grep -i SEM Can anyone offer any explanation why these settings are being ignored, I don't believe I have mirroring on the root disk. Any help would b gratefully appreciated because I can't install Oracle otherwise. Thanks In Advance Gar -- Gary Aldridg ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Gary Aldridge's Profile: http://unixadmintalk.com/131 View this thread: http://unixadmintalk.com/showthread.php?t=26591 (mail question) |
