| Hi, Sun Gurus I have Sun Fire 280r server with Sun Storedge 3310 array. I install SUNWexplo 4.3 and run #explorer -v -k -w all but when explorer execute command: sccli c3t0d0s2 show configuration is hang. I waiting, waiting, waiting.... and kill this process #pkill sccli but explorer again hang with command: sccli c3t0d0s2 show FRUs i again #pkill sccli explorer finished succesfully Later, when i analyze explorer`s results, i detect following: all files in the section disks/StorEdge/sccli/3310_StorEdge almost be empty i run command sccli manually and successfully get info, but execution time be very long: # time sccli c3t0d0s2 show FRUs sccli: selected device /dev/rdsk/c3t0d0s2 [SUN StorEdge 3310 SN#003878] ......................... real 200m12.688s user 0m0.020s sys 0m0.101s i try get info from another interface: # time sccli se3000://10.33.32.132:58632 show FRUs sccli: selected se3000://10.33.32.132:0 [SUN StorEdge 3310 SN#003878] ................. real 2m11.962s user 0m1.170s sys 0m1.581s i am very surprise. Any comments, Gurus? And what about my explorer? I can not wait 4 hour everytime. I must run them with -w \!storedge? But i want get info about my array |

I had some problems with older sccli releases, too. sccli 1.5.0 is mentioned in the README for patch 113722 (StorEdge 3310 array controller firmware upgrade). It also has instructions on where to download it. If the SE3310 doesn't have the newest firmware installed, you should take a look at 113722 anyway, one of the bugs it fixes (again, according to the README) is: 4865630 sccli hangs and causes I/O timeouts when 'show frus' is executed hth, mp. -- Systems Administrator | Institute for Software Science | Univ. of Vienna |
