| Hi, My Solaris is having trouble getting in touch with the tape drive though st driver. The following is the configuration of my storage environment. Solaris 5.8 JNI FCE-6460 JNI Driver 5.3.0.3 Brocade Switch 2400 IBM 3592 Tape Drive My environment worked with JNI card 6410, therefore the devices should not be a problem. The devices are mapped with EZ-Fibre utility and the topology is set to Fabric. The problem is st driver is loaded and I cannot perform any system command to the device. For example, mt –f "Device path" status Failed to open device The st.conf file covers SCSI id's from 0 to 255 and for each of them it covers LUN 0 to 7. Thanks in advance, Derek |
