| Hello, I would like to use a programm called Ksetup (it configures Windows 2000 clients to use an MIT Kerberos server). My Kerberos Server is a Solaris 9 box - so my question: is this Kerberos (I think it's called SEAM, isn't it?) compatible to the MIT Kerberos? Bye, Johannes |

Personally I would recommend you to uninstall sun kerberos (in sol9 you can do a pkgrm, in sol8 you have to do it MANUALLY.. gaah) and install either MIT kerberos or Heimdal. I use Heimdal since I had alot of problems the few times I tried to use SUN krb.. However it's probably closer to MIT than Heimdal, so it could work for you. In theory all krb5 implementations should be compatible. (Please remember that microsofts implemention sucks badly, for example it only supports the easier chipers and so on..) |
