Default Kinda Offtopic: Nertbackup Question

Unfortunately my cheap company has decided not to get support for out
Veritas products anymore. *feel sorry for me* heh

Anyway, probably a simple question but not in the docs:

When I start a manual backup I get this output:
7/16/2003 10:17:29 AM - connecting
7/16/2003 10:17:29 AM - connected
7/16/2003 10:17:32 AM - mounting 000273
7/16/2003 10:18:25 AM - mounted
7/16/2003 10:18:28 AM - positioning 000273 3
7/16/2003 10:19:12 AM - positioned
7/16/2003 10:19:12 AM - begin writing

Does the 5th line mean the tape was positioned to file 3? If not, what
does the three mean? Sometimes it is 2, sometimes 4.

Sorry for being offtopic, but we are a Sun shop. =P

Thx,
CC
