Default manage ldap with smc 2.1

Hello,

has anybody managed to get the smc 2.1 working with ldap on sol 9?

I've followed the instructions on

http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/content/..._faq.html#LDAP

But I always end up with the same error:

First, it gives me two "security Manager Alert"

and then:

Computers and Networks is not able to connect to the server. Reason:
Unable to initialize the Computers/Network tool. Please see the Log
Viewer for more Information. Verify that the server is running....

In the Log Viewer I found the following:

Scope Name: ldap:/horex/dc=sunny,dc=de
Table Name: hosts
Error Message: The column is not contained in the row.

The user root was logged in as role root.

Am I missing any trick which is not mentioned in the instruction above?
And is there a docu which is more detailed which I can use for debugging?

Thank you

Wolfgang
