| Just downloaded S 9 4/04, and am installing on brand new Sun V480. Chapter 3 of the "Release Notes Supplement for Sun Hardware" says (in the "Other Issues" section): <Begin Quote from Release Notes> Network Drivers Installed by Default The Solaris Installation CD automatically installs the network drivers from the Supplement CD. Drivers for the SunATM and SunHSI/P cards are now installed by default when the Solaris 9 4/04 operating environment is installed. Error messages might be displayed if you do not have some of the corresponding hardware installed. You can ignore these error messages. <End Quote from Release Notes> Our machine does not have either of these cards, so I am inclined to do what seems obvious to me, and that is just deselect these drivers during installation (using Web Start). Since I don't see this mentioned as a work around, I'm wondering if there is some hidden reason why I should accept the default installation, and then ignore the subsequent error messages (as the Release Notes suggest). In other words, why shouldn't I act to prevent the cause of the annoying error message, rather than just ignore it after the fact? Thank you.
