I had plenty of space left. Do you have just a plain Sun Online Account, or is it connected to a Sun Service Plan ($$$) ? For Solaris 10, you will not be able to download all patches unless you have a Sun Service Plan, and it's connected to your Sun Online Account. You can verify this on the SunSolve web page ("Edit Account", after logging in). Try "./pca -d -a missings". It should successfully download all missing security patches; these are available without a Sun Service Plan. You can always run pca with its "-V" option to generate debug output. It will show you how and why wget fails. Feel free to send me the debug output by e-mail for further investigation. mp. -- Systems Administrator | Institute of Scientific Computing | Univ. of Vienna | http://www.par.univie.ac.at/solaris/pca/ Patch Check Advanced | Analyze, download and install patches for Sun Solaris |

I don't have a contract so the failing patches were probably ones I would have to pay for. I've decided that the better/cheaper approach is to buy a new media kit and reinstall. That should get me up to within a couple of months of being current. . . . |

FWIW? Lately if screw us happen on a Friday they dont get fixed until late Monday or Tuesday. Heck we wouldnt want to PAGE anyone on a WEEKEND to fix something they buggered up. Especially when a weekend is a good time to get up to date with patches for many customer sites. That whole project is a rudderless ship and Capt. WrongWay PeachFuzz seems to be at the helm : < |
