I'm very new to Solstice Backup software. I have a copy of 5.5.1 for
evaluation. The only tape drive I have is an old EXABYTE single tape
drive, not a carousel or device that I can put multiple tapes in. Is
Solstice Backup compatible with this or do I need a tape drive that
uses multiple tapes?

The reason I ask is that I need to understand how to configure
Solstice Backup for a manual I'm writing, and then understand how to
instruct someone on configuring the software to backup certain
partitions with a jukebox.

Can anyone provide me some help on this one? Thanks in advance.

Apology for my previous less-than-helpful reply ...

My point was (less tersely) if you're going to go all the way through
with documenting the process for someone (beyond vendor pubs), you
should actually be familiar with it; step through it all w/ the same or
nearly similar configuration. Knowing and relating the subtlies and
potential gotchas is extrememly helpful.

The SBU 5.5 PDF docs are at http://docs.sun.com/db/coll/863.1 and the
Admin guide has a section specifically on changers. You might be able
to pull most everything you need from there.
