| I have trouble using a Sun SunPCi II Pro card (733 MHz). The CD-ROM drive works fine if the CD is inserted when the SunPCi card is booted, but it will never reconise the CD has been changed. I found this document on Sun's web site on troubleshooting cd-rom problems on SunPCi cards: http://www.sun.com/desktop/products/sunpci/cd-rom.pdf Reading this I know why the problem occurs, but I don't know how to fix it. The issue seems to be a missing shared library. From what I understand remote media manager has a configuration file /etc/rmmount.conf which has a line like this in it: # Actions action cdrom action_sunpci.so action floppy action_filemgr.so each of action_sunpci.so and action_filemgr.so should be shared libraries in /etc/lib/rmmount. However, an ls of that directory finds only 3 files. action_dvdvideo.so.1 action_filemgr.so.1 action_workman.so.1 but no 'action_sunpci.so' Hence I suspect Windoze is not detecting the CD has been changed, as the library is missing. But where does one get the library? I've reinstalled the SunPCi software and it is still missing. I assume it would be supplied with the SunPCi software, so I'm at a loss how to find it. If anyone has a copy of the shared library, could you email it to me (address at at ) http://atlc.sourceforge.net/contact.html and I'll try running with that. David Kirkby and I |

It should be on your CDROM I happen to have a SunPCi 2.0.1 hoarded and the file is called: action_sunpci.so.1 action_sunpci.so is likely a symlink > If anyone has a copy of the shared library, could you email it to me > (address at at ) > http://atlc.sourceforge.net/contact.html > and I'll try running with that. Dont know if mine is new enough. Try looking at your install CD for the file. Should be located somewhere around: Product/SUNWspci2/reloc/SUNWspci2/lib |
