| I know you can use Samba to share a unix directory with a Windoze box - we do this at work, and I do so at home too. Can you do the reverse - i.e. share files from Windoze XP (or 2003 Server), so the directories can be seen on a Sun? A friend has PC with 600 GB of data files. I think the PC runs either XP or Server 2003. He wants to put these data files on a web site and wants me to administer it remotely. The usage on the site will be very low indeed, so hosting it on an SS20 with an ADSL connection should be okay, but buying 600 GB of SCSI disk storage is not practical for this not-for-profit project. Hence I'd like to somehow share the 600 GB of data on the PC, so the Sun can se it. Any ideas? David Kirkby |

Easy to do with Linux or FreeBSD but there are a couple of options for Solaris, sharity lite and Windows Services for Unix. |
