I recently downloaded the Solaris 10 iso's and installed it on a Sun
Ultra 2, mpstat shows only one processor is online. Did I get stuck
with a uniprocessor kernel? Do I have to purchase the media kit to get
SMP?

No, what you download and what's on the medai is the same (for the OS).
What does psrinfo -v say?

Then the hardware only recognized one CPU. Does it have two CPUs?
Does the PROM find two CPUs?

psrinfo and mpstat indicate only CPU 0 is online, I have been unable to
get the second CPU to come online. However, when I run either Solaris 7
or 9; they show both CPUs. I currently put my old Solaris 7 Server
install back on the Ultra 2 (so I can have openwindows). If I have to,
I can put a spare drive in and reinstall Solaris 10 to investigate this
further.
