Default Solaris 9 - Filenames truncate to 8 chars after reinstall

I had to repartition the drive, so I reinstalled Solaris 9 (which I had just
installed the day before--using all the default settings).

Now all my filenames are being truncated to 8 chars. I selected UTF8 and
en-us-ISO8859-1 for languages.

Yesterday it took all 4 CDs (the Lang and Multi). Today it was done after
just the first 2.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

John
