Default Solstice X.25 9.2 Link status: LAPB Link 0 is in state ADM

Hy all,

I have a problem when I am trying to start the x.25 network.

I have a temporary license, so I have to install a new valid license
file each month. It has always worked fine until now. This last time,
when I pulled down the Network Menu (of the x25tool) and clicked on
Start X.25, I checked that the link status (using linkstate
application) was in the following state (instead of the NORMAL state):
Mon Oct 24 09:52:28 2005: LAPB Link 0 is in state ADM

Do you know what should be the problem? How can I resolve it?

Thank you very much

Hi Rafael,

Has _anything_ changed in your configuration ? Did you ask your service
provider to check if something was done to your link ? Normally X.25
links will work under any condition, until somebody tries to change
something, and _then_ you get many problems.

Check on your CSU/DSU. Are you seeing both "send" and "receive" leds
flashing ? Only one could be a sign of a problem with the link. If you
do talk to your service provider, make sure that they can "see" _your_
csu/dsu (they might ask you to put it in loopback mode for that).

Sorry I can't provide any more information. I had a problem like this
not more than 2 weeks ago (it was the provider's fault), so I really
feel your pain

Good luck !

Alex...
