Sparcstation 10 wont boot help

Default Sparcstation 10 wont boot help

ive installed gentoo linux sparc edition on to my sparcstation and it goes
to boot from the hard drive, scsi id 3, and it gives me the message "the
file does not appear to be executible". I cant figure out whats going on,
can anyone help?

this is perhaps a long shot but i remember having seen something
similar on one of my systems...

it could be possible that you will have to use an argument for
booting, like "boot disk gentoo" from the OBP.

I figured out what was wrong, i didnt know where the boot from prom was
looking at so i did a "setenv boot-device disk0:1" to load the boot
partition, that did the trick just right!

What is the size of the boot partition ? what is the containt of your
silo.conf ? (/etc/silo.conf)
Does it look like this ? :
