| bit frustrated. downloaded and installed entire solaris 9. wanted to do a tape backup and found that its under volume manager. but how do i actually start volume manager. i dont see it on any of the apps/ tools that come up on the gnome. its not in smc. i know its installed cause its listed in the sun registry. is there a gui place (under gnome) that has all the great things that were installed. |

| Hello, John Z.: Are you thinking of Veritas Netbackup? In the old days, the Sun Volume Manager used to be called Veritas Volume Manager. To make things more complicated, Veritas Netbackup had a component (the media manager) that used to be called volume manager.
