| Hi Gurus We are not able to boot a SunFire V250 machine which was built with Solaris 9 with DiskSuite. I can't even get the machine to single user mode and log on to it. These are my observations a. I got into the system using a CD and also fscked all the filesystems. b. /var has plenty of space. c. The permissions for wtmpx and utmpx and the ownerships are fine. d. Don't know whether it's an hardware problem. The other interesting part is while booting up it comes with scsi and net devices disabled. Obviously I have got around with it by setting asr to services and then can try booting from the disk. e. The recommended Patch level is of 22 Oct 2004. f. Probe-scsi-all displays all the scsi disks. devlinks and the device paths are fine. {1} ok boot disk -s SC Alert: Host System has Reset Sun Fire V250, No Keyboard Copyright 1998-2003 Sun Microsystems, Inc. The machine just hangs there. Any help is greatly appreciated. Ofcourse I will summarize. Thanks Regards Suresh Bangalore |
