| Hi, i just tried to install my new T1000 machine via Jumpstart. Since the machine has no CD/DVD-ROM or USB connector this is the only chance :-) My jumpstart server (Images are from 11/06) was already configured for sum4u machines. This ist my firts T1000 machine. When adding the machine via add_install_client I told Jumpstart that it is a sun4v architecture. So far so goog. Installation started and ends sucessfull. But when I reboot the machine it stops here: Rebooting with command: boot Boot device: disk File and args: Loading ufs-file-system package 1.4 04 Aug 1995 13:02:54. FCode UFS Reader 1.12 00/07/17 15:48:16. ERROR: /pci@7c0/pci@0/pci@8/scsi@2/disk: Last Trap: Division by Zero I checked the boot device but I have no clue what happened here. Any ideas? Many thanks, Markus |

So when the add_install_client command is run the administrator must specify the correct architecture type 'sun4v' and NOT 'sun4u' as was needed for previous UltraSPARC systems. So you can jumpstart it using a flasharchive built on another sun4v server only. |
