| I have Sun Sparc20 with with operating system SunOS414. I could boot up the system in the beginning, but I got the error as below these couple days. Checksum 9248dc5e != 4884dac, trying to boot anyway Instruction Access Exception And, I try to use boot use CD, on OK prompt I enter boot cdrom. I got the same error as above: checksum ......., tyring to boot anyway Is this hardware problem or my disk has problem? Please help. Thanks. |

Thanks. > Randomly searching the web, I came across a mentioneing of the phrase "trying to boot anyway" on the sunmanagers mailing list (form 1997): http://www.netsys.com/sunmgr/1997-05/msg00055.html The probelm appears to be related to the bootblock. Installing a new bootblock helped the person writing the above summary, but I don't know if it helps you. -- Andreas Kähäri |
