Default Upgrading Flash Image with Update Release.

I'm trying to upgrade Solaris 9 s9_58shwpl3 SPARC, to Solaris 9 4/04.
My original image was flashed onto the system and I would very much
like to preserve all the changes I made. I need some of the hardware
updates on 4/04 for some new systems I will be rolling out.

I tried booting the 4/04 release but it did not detect any upgradable
volumes. Any hints?

Are you confusing updating the operating system, with updating the
firmware?

No, I'm trying to update the operating system with an update release
which has drivers for hardware we need to install on. The recommended
patchset doesn't add support for new hardware, as far as I can tell
only the update release provides this support.

Thanks!
Matt
