I4GL Interactive Debugger was first released in about 1987, or maybe 1988 - just about the same time as MS Powerpoint version 1 (see history presentation at http://www.bitbetter.com/powertips.htm). I doubt that many presentations were developed about I4GL-ID simply because it effectively pre-dates the widespread use of Powerpoint. One of the interesting tricks to demonstrate (if you have a big enough hunk of real estate on your screen) would be two windows side by side or slightly overlapping, one for the application window and the other for the debugger control window. ID has some powerful value display features, and permits you to hack variables on the fly. It is in many ways a very clever program even today. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2005.02 -- http://dbi.perl.org/ |
