| 9.40.FC2 on solaris 8 is coring on the restore (15GB tape), reads the start of tape OK, displays the dbspaces info then goes splat. There is a call logged via Pisspoor Advantage but no joy so far. Anybody else had the same problem? Use typescript ontape -r to get the info. |

| Apparently it's known bug, 164188 ONTAPE RESTORE CAN CRASH WHEN AT BACKUP TIME MIRROR WAS 1 BUT NO MIRRORING FOR ROOTDBS WAS ACTIVE Many thanks to Mark Greco for digging it out for me. Reset the MIRROR flag to 0 and it works a treat now Cheers Paul The Big Potatoe wrote: > > Paul Watson wrote: > > 9.40.FC2 on solaris 8 is coring on the restore (15GB tape), reads the > > start of tape OK, displays the dbspaces info then goes splat. | Further to the bug. The workaround (at least on this system) is to set MIRROR to 0 and the tapes restore. No informix mirroring is used so it should have been 0 anyway Paul Watson wrote: > > 9.40.FC2 on solaris 8 is coring on the restore (15GB tape), reads the > start of tape OK, displays the dbspaces info then goes splat.
