Default an alternative to PERFORM

Still have several apps in use that are primarily PERFORM screens, ACE
reports and simple menus.

Has anyone found a solution that requires as little code as PERFORM and
offers query by example on any field? I want to move on but coding is not
my strong point.

Any backend will do - its the frontend that will determine.

There are a number of tools and utilities in the IIUG Software Repository
at www.iiug.org . The venerable db4glgen comes to mind, if you have 4GL.
There are others, as well.
