Backup Very Slow

Default Backup Very Slow

have Informix IDS 7.3 on an Rp4440 server with UNIX 11.0 I am using
DLT Tape drives and 80gig tapes to do my back up on a 98gig database.
My problem is that a level 0 backup takes 24hrs to finish. Using
ontape . I need to reduce the time.My database has 405 users at peak
and an average of 240 users during the day .I normally start my
backup at 1600hrs.I need help to reduce this time.Any help or
suggestions are welcome. Here is my configuration file (onconfig.live)

Would help to know:

a. The actual version of the engine from oninit -V

b. An idea of the size of the instance from onstat -d

c. When having such a huge TAPEBLK actually helps.

Another way that I did before was to change the tape backup device from DLT
to LTO if your budget is allowed.
It greatly reduces the backup time for us.

Use onstat -V to discover exactly which version of 7.31 you are using.
You may be hitting bug 101062 - Archiving very Old Pages. If so there
is a simple fix, but the exact version needs to be identified first.
