Default Can I use UNC file shares for dbspaces?

Hi informix specialists,

I have a filer that offers plenty of disk space and
I would like to use it for root and other dbspaces.
To be independent from any disk drive letters, I would
like to use the UNC notation like \\filer\share\dir1\rootdbs_000.

Has anyone been able to use that UNC notation for
the root dbspace when initializing the IDS?

We are using (not only) IDS 9.30 on (not only) Windows 2000.

Many regards,

Rüdiger
