Go to the Members Area (blue door on the right - you must be a member, but it is free), Software Downloads, and you can select from IDS 9.4 or IDS 9.3 for Linux or Windows 2000. You also have the option of selecting SE for Linux or Windows 2000, or Online 5.20 for Linux Personal Edition. HTH. -- June Hunt |

There is no explanation, but the reasons have been discussed on c.d.i. before. As June says, they *may* still be available on the IIUG website (www.iiug.org), but don't bank on this lasting for long either. |

I should make it clear that I meant to say above that IBM no longer provides trial versions of Informix FOR DOWNLOAD. Trial versions are still available, but they must be obtained from an IBM salesman or Business Partner. |

I believe that the reason is that Informix does not fit the IBM model of having a "bomb" in it to de-activate after (say) 90 days' use. IBM have taken a policy decision not to allow non-confirming software to be downloadable for trial. Later releases of Informix will have the "bomb" built in, but current releases will not have it fitted retrospectively. |
