| Seeing that Jurgen has a fake reply address, I'll post this to the group: Just a question (not trying to get personal here). I do not have a lot of experience with JAVA, but from the little experience I have, I feel that JAVA is a very slow "application". I never had any issues on my Unix servers until we started implementing JAVA. What are your experiences with JAVA ? A few years ago when I was still in school (advanced informatics) I got to do an assignment for Ericsson, building an application which routed an emergency call to the nearest doctor, based on cell antenna locations. All of it, including the SDK provided by ericsson: Java. I might add, even though I'm not really fond with java, it did the trick quite nicely. -R- sending to informix-list |
