Hi Every1.

my client has got a data in Informix Online 5.x with r4gl used for the front end. the character based screen display in Arabic. The data stored in the field are numbers and on column is the name which is in Arabic.

This data is exported using the unload utility to an ascii file. the data then is imported to MS-Excel. This Excel file has to sent to the Head Office of the company. But the data imported into Excel does not display the name in Arabic even though the pc has arabic installed in it. I am able to type in the same excel sheet some Arabic characters as well.

How do I get this Informix data unloaded to be displaye in Arabic?

Help would be greatly appreciated.
