| Eweek has on page 36 of the October 23, 2006 print edition an article titled "IBM debuts new server type". It's about a mythical server that will do ETL built into the "engine", whatever that is. Sounds like bullsh but who knows. In the center of the article a highlight box with "IBM's on-demand headlines". "Cheetah running" "IBM's IDS ( Informix Dynamic Server ) data server, code-named Cheetah, is due in 2007. IBM says the relational data server will deliver fast OLTP ( online transaction processing ), high reliability and nearly hands-free administration." I about fell out of my chair when I saw Informix in an Eweek article, and it wasn't being slammed or slighted. Holy sh. ( I checked it hasn't made it to the web yet. ) |

There are indeed better tools out there than Data Stage, IBM is really reaching at this point. It would be nice to see them put the same effort into Informix marketing, that would be really worth seeing. > > Trust Larry Jenkins: > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGteIcpU7JM > Absolutely retarded.
