Default IDS Enterprise Edition trials

I've a customer who's looking to extend his use of IDS, but wants to do a
short eval of IDS Enterprise. The IDS trial at
http://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp...go=y&rs=ifxids
looks ideal but lacks info.

Specifically, does anyone know:

a. For how is the time-limited version time-limited?
b. Are there any other restrictions on the trial version of IDS EE?
c. Is it possible to get IDS 10.0 FC5, rather than the FC6 proffered, as xC6
has some bugs we need to avoid?

Thanks and regards
Neil

Don't know a) or b). For c) if you or the client contact IBM and fill
out an evaluation agreement they'll give them any version release they
want with no time limit built in except the agreement to remove the
product or buy it within the agreed upon period (customer specified
within reason).

That used to be the case, but "IBM" has variously suggested the Try and Buy
from the website - hence my question - or some other possibilities. It
seems that there is no longer a formal evaluation process any more.
I'm sure it will be sorted out, but the website route does look the easiest
provided the time bomb is long enough, we can get FC5, and it has no
functionality restrictions.

90 days, I believe. Otherwise, it would be most likely 120 or 180.

No.

I'm not sure, but I doubt it. Ask your IBM rep.

Obviously, if it were that easy I wouldn't be asking here ;-)
