| Does anyone know if ids is available on Linux for p-series (ie the power processor?). The only Linux variants I've ever seen in the price book are Intel (naturally) and something called z-series, which I think means mainframes. thanks -- Neil Truby t:01932 724027 Director m:07798 811708 Ardenta Limited e:neil.truby@ardenta.com |

| Thanks to all who replied, including Karl, Jonathan and Tsutomu. Perhaps the most comprehensive was from Christine Normile, who is the Informix Dynamic Server Product Manager at IBM. She wrote: We add pSeries Linux to our support platforms with the next release of IDS, scheduled for delivery in late February. So you can run IDS on Linux on x86, IPF, pSeries and zSeries - it scales at 100% on zSeries (yes - mainframe - we actually already have several IDS clients who have used this for server consolidation).. I'm asking R&D to do some testing on pLinux to see if we get the same linear scaling. :-) ..
