Inf 7.31.FD5 and LRUAGE

I realized that one of our customers still has set env var LRUAGE.
This was set when using Informix version 7.31.UC? as a workaround for a
bug. But now they use 7.31.FD5.

Any experiences or advise to set or unset this for current releases
(OLTP use) ?
