Default Informix 7.25.UC1 and RedHat9

Hiya.

I got my C-Isam working great under RH8, but now I am trialling RH9
it doesn't seem to want to play with me any more.

Now I have installed it, after each reboot I get:

Incorrectly built binary which acceses errno, h_errno or _res
directly. Needs to be rebuilt.

I suspect that this has something to do with RH deciding to update
things in their compiler or kernel something.

I do understand that this is an ancient release. The company I am
working for is thinking about an upgrade, but is seriously
considering moving to a different sort of DB server. That lack of
decision means that I am stuck with trying to get this working.

Just for the record, I am running this on a multi-processor xeon
based platform.

I have seen info that suggests this is a known problem(at least it is
for more recent versions), but I haven't seen one that talks about a
solution or a workaround.

Any assistance would be greatly apprectiated.

Tah!

Googleboy.

this is a known "feature" between RedHat 9 and the latest CSDK. If you have
a support contract, try to get the fixed version 2.81UC2X5 which runs fine.

True, but this is asking about C-ISAM instead. Contact IBM/Informix
Tech Support and see whether there is anything more recent available
that works on RH9.
