Is it just me or is there now some public evindence that the "DB2"
brand name been changed to "Information Management" as per IBM
announcements toward the end of 2005?

It's low-hanging fruit but maybe "Double Echo" is now in charge of
marketing, he's stamping his mark and this will be the first of many
changes? Someone said he heard he was going to get his chance ;-)

www.ibm.com has caught up with the brand. It has taken longer than we
all had hoped to update the web just because of it's size but it is
largely done. Our division is officially Information Management. DB2
is a product family name of a group of IBM database products, as in
Informix.

It will take a while for all the humans to catch up, but everyone in IM
marketing is very rigorous in correcting anyone who uses DB2 to refer
to the division. Now if we could just get everyone to stop referring
to any and all Informix products simply as Informix!
