install Informix on Win XP Pro

Hello,

I want to install informix on a portable with Windows XP pro, but after
starting the install, it crash stopping all and return on Windows.

Is it normal, Do I need an update ?

A friend told me, that I have to upgrade, and he will send the cd to me...

I have successfuly installed 9.40 on an WinXP Pro portable computer.
You can download it from iiug.org website.
The installation was very easy and IDS ... seems to work on that OS !
