| Greetings, Has anyone ever performed an informix install using sudo? If so, have you seen or discovered any problems doing so? I've been told that I have no other choice but to perform the install using sudo and I'm a bit sketchy. My understanding of sudo tells me there should be no problems. But still, the unkown is bothersome. HPUX 11.11 IDS 9.40 FC2 TIA |

I use a roughly equivalent program called 'asroot'; most of the R&D and QA teams use another roughly equivalent program called 'userid'. Both work fine. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2005.02 -- http://dbi.perl.org/ |
