| he guys. The ISA archive for AIX (1.50UC1) does not come with the JRE. For some reason the installation does not see the installed version 1.41 as valid. Anyone have any idea how to solve this? Everything is pure IBM here. Tia Robert A. Reissaus sr. Online Administator Risdi Amsterdam the Netherlands |

Yes, and it's not just a problem for AIX because it's a bug in the install script. Over two U releases of 9.40 ago I complained about it, filed a bug about it, and even opened a support case on it. Heck, I even sent IBM my simple patch to the script to get the install working properly... they promptly ignored it and still haven't fixed it to this day. It's pretty easy to figure out the fix, but kind of a bother to bust open the cpio file, patch it, and re-cpio it just so that the install script is aware that Sun released at least two versions of Java after 1.3. I'd just send it to you, but IBM doesn't pay me to do their tech support or QA. Ho hum. Same crapola, different day. -- Forte International, P.O.
