| I am currently using TSM and a 3583 library to backup informix using onbar - I am trying to somplify the situation and am going to use ISM and backup to file space on a local SSA array and clone my backups to tape during the day onto an external 3580 LTO2 drive. Another setup I have I will be sending the backups to a shared SSA array - would there be a problem using the backup command to backup the raw disks? Or any problem restoring by using restore to restore to the filespace and restoring informix using ISM and onbar? Is anyone else currently doing this or anything like it? Thanks in advance Ted Fiedler |

| I guess I could simplify this more by just asking if ISM will work w/ a single 3580 ultrium2 external drive? And if it will can the raw disks be backed up with AIX's backup utility?
