| We are running IDS 7.31.TC7. We have upgraded our o/s to Win 2k advanced server in order to bypass the memory limit of 2GB. We have made the changes to the boot.ini according to the release notes to enable up to 3GB of memory. This works but now if we define memory (resident+virtual) above 1.8GB we receive the following error when running ontape or oncheck utility: MapViewOfFileEx: w32ec=487 at \tristarm\oslib\nt_shm.c:683 00:43:36 shmat: [22]: operating system error We have been told by IBM support that this is due to a conflict with certain dll's that reside within the memory range and that we need to rebase the dll's below SHMBASE or above the range of memory we are requiring. This we are not sure how to do Has anyone experienced this problem and found a solution ? TIA Mike |
