Estoy con algunas dudas, las mismas que finalmente se reproducen en
problemas de performance para mi servidor de base de datos.
Mi plataforma basicamente es la siguiente:
HP-UX 11.11, 4 CPU's y 12GB de memory.
Revisando literatura respecto a Performance and Tuning, modifique
algunos parametros de mi onconfig: CLEARS, LRU, BUFFERS, LOCK, LRU_MAX_DIRTY
y LRU_MIN_DIRTY, las mismas que se suponia me permitir ontener una mejor
performance.
Al reiniciar la instancia y ejecutar el onstat -p, mi %cached = 98%, por
tanto asumi que habia realizado las modificaciones correctas. Pero
lamentablemente, con el transcurrir de los dias y al ejecutar nuevamente
onstat -p, mi %cached = 93.86%.
Por que sucedio esto?
Como puedo llegar nuevamente al %cached optimo = 98%
Me pueden dar algunas pistas para poder obtener mejor performance y
orientarme por que factores pasa tener optimizado mi servidor de base de
datos.
