| A user has an Access DB running on a XP box that is experiencing the following problem when using ODBC drive 3.34 or 3.82 to connect to IDS 7.31 UC4: The user get the login prompt ever records or ever couple of records it retrieves from the Informix DB. With over a 1000 records per query the user is not a happy camper. It seems to work with ODBC drive 3.30 & 3.33 when they where loaded, but when we upgraded them to 3.34 the problem started. We uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. Downloaded the latest sdk from IBM and still get prompted for login ever record retrieved. Anyone have any ideas what to do or where to look, besides going back to 3.33? John David Adamski Information Systems Specialist Graceland University adamski@graceland.edu 641-784-5267 |

| I haven't used Access in about 6 years, but in Visual FoxPro, there is an ODBC connection property that drops inactive connections after a specified period of time (but the default is to keep the connection open indefinitely). -- William Fields MCSD - Microsoft Visual FoxPro MCP - Win2k Pro US Bankruptcy Court Phoenix, AZ The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources. - Albert Einstein "John David Adamski" <adamski@graceland.edu> wrote in message news:1cfa244d.0307100716.5f50869@posting.google.co m... > A user has an Access DB running on a XP box that is experiencing the > following problem when using ODBC drive 3.34 or 3.82 to connect to IDS > 7.31 UC4: The user get the login prompt ever records or ever couple > of records it retrieves from the Informix DB.
