Pravin,

POS=aix5.3
IDS=9.4FC3
ClientSDK=2.81TC2.
I currently don't know the answer to your esqlc question.

btw, I don't think clientsdk is involved, because when we get this error, it is alway while running various backend esqlc programs, that are started from comand line or cron on the server. No odbc connection involved.

Thanks.

Hi Floyd,

What is the Database Server platform? OS? and CSDK version? and 32-bit or 64-bit.
Does your esqlc apps use semapores or other ipc mechanism that uses shared memory?

Thanks & Regards,
Pravin

Subject25594 errors

Hello,
Periodically we get these 25594 errors in our esqlc apps.
Been on the phone with ibm, OS and Informix depts.
They blame each other. Basically, IBM says that Informix is requesting a semaphore that the OS can't provide.
Our solution has been to bounce the BOX. Piss poor solution.
Any ideas ?

I have a trap setup in the online log for this error, and nothing ever comes of it.

Thanks,
Floyd
