I have nothing against Four J's. Yes, I worked with them for 5 years, I
enjoyed it, I enjoyed the technology, I still have quite a few friends
working for them.

I drive by their development office (in Strasbourg) once in a while, and
guess what; I am not burning cars and doing any bad things...

No, I simply hate answers like "genero is the best tool" for all, first, it
is not true for any tool; second, a real answer is listing giving enough
hints for people to find a good way.

Specifically for Gil's issue, BDS might be a better tool BTW.

Don't worry: I would react in a similar way if someone was saying "Querix is
the tool for the job".

I think there are other solutions to investigate, and competition is NOT a
bad thing.

And yes, Four J's is one of the sponsors of IIUG, we thank them for that and
they get all the benefits other sponsors are having, they are not down the
path or in the hall way. And my opinion does not reflect the board, it's my
view. Some people on the board think Four J's is great and wonderful, some
just ignore it, and I try to give a fair view on it. IIUG is for the
Informix users, not only for the Four J's users ;-).

In some circumstances, I have recommended people to go to Four J's and I
still do. If I wanted to be bad at Four J's, I would really be.
