The two big changes that I have noted with 64 bit kernels (5.1, 5.2,
5.3) and a 64 bit Informix engine are as follows:

1) Removal of 256 shared memory segment size limitation as well as the
10 segment limits
2) Ability to have chunks larger than 2GB
